WBE Canada Welcomes the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade as an Associate Partner
Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) is excited to welcome the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade as its newest Associate Partner. As a ministry of the Government of Ontario, they are committed to supporting a strong, innovative economy that can provide jobs, opportunities, and prosperity for all Ontarians.
Ontario is committed to supporting small and medium-sized companies to expand by connecting them with new export markets and customers as well as supporting them through a variety of services and tools including export readiness seminars, trade missions, business-to-business programs, and market-specific advice from Ontario-based and in-market experts.
“Our ministry is proud to join the WBE Canada community as an Associate Partner,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Ontario is home to some of the most inventive and enterprising women-owned businesses in the world. Across the province’s many supply chains, these women-led businesses have played, and will continue to play, an important role in Ontario’s future economic success.”
“We are excited to have the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade join the WBE Canada community as an Associate Partner. We believe that their support will be essential in helping more Ontario-based women-owned businesses reach and succeed in foreign markets,” said Silvia Pencak, President of WBE Canada. “Women-owned businesses across Canada have proven their resilience and innovation time and again; having the support of ministries like the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade is key to their continued success. We look forward to this partnership and the numerous opportunities that we will create together for Canadian women-owned businesses.”
