To recertify annually as a WBE Canada Women Business Enterprise (WBE), your company must continue to meet international certification standards. The company must be at least 51.0% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women. The company must be legally conducting business in Canada.
Provided that your company continues to meet the eligibility criteria, you may re-apply by following this abbreviated recertification process. We require that you complete and submit an online recertification application in advance of your annual expiry date.
Certifications that are not renewed by their anniversary date will subsequently be revoked. To attain Certification after this time may require a new application. If there have been changes to your company ownership, management or control, you will be required to submit documentation evidencing the changes and your continuing eligibility for certification.
Simplified Recertification Application Process
- Step 1 – Log in to our WBE Can Network wbecanada.smartigo.com. You will see the RECERTIFICATION APPLICATION icon on your profile page. Click on it and complete the online application.
- Step 2 – If there have been changes to ownership, management or control, you will be required to submit/upload the relevant documentation.
- Step 3 – Your non-refundable fee can be easily remitted by credit card through our online Moneris account.
- Step 4 – Click SUBMIT.
The annual fee is currently $750.00 plus taxes applicable to your province (HST or GST). This fee is subject to change at the discretion of WBE Canada.

The fee is payable in Canadian dollars and is non-refundable. The fee covers our service and due diligence in assessing eligibility for recertification and is not refundable regardless of whether the application is approved or declined. You will be required to remit this non-refundable fee through our Moneris account online within the recertification application process.
Your application and documentation will then be reviewed by WBE Canada and if eligible, a new Certificate will be issued to you. You can locate your current certificate at any time as a downloadable document from within your profile on our WBE-Can-Network.
We encourage our certified WBEs to review and update their online profile so that corporate members and other WBEs can find and assess their connection with you.
WBE Canada reserves the right to ask questions in addition to those listed in this application as reasonably required to ensure your company meets all of the certification criteria.
