WBE Canada Announces New Appointments to Board of Directors
Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) is pleased to announce new appointments to the Board of Directors for 2022.
Appointed as a Board Director is Celso Afonseca, Manager, Account Services & Program Operations / Supplier Diversity Business Leader, Staples Promotional Products. Celso is actively engaged in WBE Canada events and initiatives and is a champion, helping many WBEs access Staples Promotional Products’ supply chain. Celso’s leadership has contributed to a significant increase in supplier diversity spend at Staples Promotional Products. Since stepping into this role, the network of diverse suppliers at SPP has grown by 200%. His commitment to supplier diversity and his willingness to support Canadian WBEs are creating a positive impact in Canada.
In addition, the Board welcomes 5 new appointments to Board Committees:
- Martin Grenier, Vice President, Procurement, Cogeco – joined Nomination Committee as its new Chair
- Ann-Marie Anderson, Advisor, Canadian Supplier Diversity, BMO
- Hannah Keip, Sourcing Leader, ArcelorMittal Dofasco
- Jen Schrock, Sr. Manager, Business Development, CDW
- Karine Balogh-Jobin, Advisor – Sustainable Procurement, Cogeco
