Media Release: WBE Canada Announces New Corporate Member: BASF Canada
TORONTO, April 5, 2019
Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE) is excited to announce that BASF Canada has joined us as a new Corporate Member.
As part of an integrated global chemical company, BASF Canada Inc., headquartered in Mississauga, ON, serves customers in nearly all industries including agriculture, transportation, energy and resources, and construction. BASF’s purpose is “We create chemistry for a sustainable future,” combining economic success with environmental protection and social responsibility.
“WBE Canada is excited about this partnership because it creates excellent opportunity for BASF Canada to innovate their supply chain through engagement of Canadian women-owned businesses. Yet, it also creates new opportunities for Canadian WBEs (Women Business Enterprises) as they seek to land more corporate contracts,” said Silvia Pencak, President of WBE Canada.
“This new partnership is further commitment to our mission of providing diverse suppliers equal access to potential business opportunities. We look forward to further engaging with the communities in which we work and live while diversifying our qualified supplier portfolio,” said Allison Reynolds, Head of Corporate Communications.
