Silvia Pencak is the President and CEO of Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada), a Canadian non-profit organization that is opening doors for Canadian women-owned businesses to corporate and government supply chains. Silvia has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit and business environment, leading transformational projects and teams. She is a member of the Advisory Committee to the PSPC Minister and advisor to other leaders across Canada, tirelessly advocating more opportunities and better support for Canadian women-owned businesses in Canada and globally. She is a co-author of The State of WBE Certification in Canada and The State of Supplier Diversity Programs in Canada research studies.

 

 

Anne-Marie Deslauriers

As a graduate of Management from Concordia University, Anne-Marie has more than 25 years of experience in the field of IT and high-technology recruitment. Recognized for her human qualities, her dynamism and her determination, she knew how to stand out and grow her business over the years. Involved in the community, she actively participates in the activities of WBE Canada, WeConnect International, CCMM, RFAQ, AQT and Réseau Action TI.  In 2021 Anne-Marie was the recipient of the 2021 President’s Award of Excellence for her tireless efforts to grow her IT Recruitment company, creating jobs in Quebec, recruiting more women in the IT industry and helping companies find concrete solutions to overcome the labor shortages in that province.

Charmaine is a highly sought-after business keynote and workshop speaker,  author and educator who teaches and advocates the importance of developing trust, healthy relationships, conflict resolution and collaboration in the workplace. She has helped clients in many industries build resilient and engaged workplaces, develop high trust/high accountability relationships, and solve workplace issues and conflict that gets in the way of success and profitability. Darlene is a Supply Chain Consultant with more than 25 years of experience and a Certified Business Coach through the Certified Coaches Federation (CCF). Darlene has been providing procurement outsourcing services and supply chain solutions to public and private companies since 2017. A certified women’s business enterprise through WBE Canada since September 2021.

President, Services Conseil Katia Dedovic Inc.

Katia is an IT and Business Process Improvement Consultant with solid business analysis experience and good knowledge of project management best practices. One of her key skill sets is the mapping and modelling of future business processes. She looks forward to contributing to the improvement/innovation of Supplier Diversity in the supply chain at all levels. She is also a member of the WBE Canada Supplier Advisory Committee where she contributes to supporting WBEs and helping WBE Canada to grow stronger.

 

 

 

Marte Belisle

Following her passion for travel and wine, Marte has spent the last 3 decades studying wines around the world. Niagara is the region she has come to know in depth over the last 20 years and although she makes her base there, no wine region is foreign to her. Using all of her knowledge, Marte helps companies with client retention strategies using wine.  As a certified WBE since 2016,  Marte is actively engaged in many WBE Canada events, webinars and workshops and is currently serving her second term on SAC (Supplier Advisory Committee).

Michelle and her team have taught thousands of students for decades, specializing in Learning Disabilities. A 28-year veteran of education, Michelle completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and has a Master’s in Education Major in Special Education. Michelle is the 2022 Winner of the Businessperson of the Year Award for the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Next Gen Vital Employer Excellence Award in 2021, the CB Chamber of Commerce Professional Services award in 2013, and the Businesswoman Award for ECBC, 2012. Michelle is currently on the National Committee for the Development of the PACFOLD project with the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada.

 

 

Paula Bass

Paula Bass
President, KBC Tools & Machinery

After joining KBC Tools & Machinery in 1990, Paula took over as President in 1993 and currently heads up a team of 6 branch managers to fulfill the tooling and machinery needs of over 20,000 clients in the metalworking and maintenance, repair, and operations industry throughout Canada and The U.S. Paula has a BFA from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Illinois. Paula is always happiest when engaging in creative problem solving with colleagues and clients to achieve greater efficiency, profitability, accuracy, team effort, and fun.  So many tools, so little time!
