RBC Wealth Management Financial Literacy Program
October 31, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT
In partnership with WBE Canada, RBC Wealth Management embarked on a 20-part deep-dive learning experience in Spring 2022 to help Canadian Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) navigate through the complexities of financial planning.
The main goal of the RBC Wealth Management Financial Literacy Program is to help individuals better prepare for their financial futures, developing the knowledge and skills needed to manage both the growth and preservation of their own financial resources, as well as the wealth they may inherit. Beyond building a strong foundational knowledge and understanding of a full range of wealth and financial planning topics, this program also encourages and supports individuals in thinking critically, provides exposure to all areas of wealth planning, and fosters relevant skills that can then be applied to planning for every stage of life.
Following on the successful heels of the first session, Part 2 of the program begins September 6, 2022 for 9 weeks, covering “Investing” with modules ranging from Assets, through Risk & Diversification to Building a Portfolio followed by “Advance Planning” including Wills and Estate Planning, Insurance, Trusts and Wealth Transfer considerations.
This program is free to all Certified WBEs, with a strict limit of 20 seats available, allocated on a first come first served basis. Sessions will be held September 6 – October 31, 2022. Information including Module outlines is posted in WBE Canada Toolbox.
Module 19 – Trusts – critical parties to a trust and how they are created, governed, and generally taxed
Module 20 – Wealth Transfer Considerations – such as tax strategies, financial and estate planning, financial education, and family communication and preferences
