WBE Canada’s Breakfast with Brands events are designed to be educational and informative, providing greater access to procurement networks for women-owned businesses looking to succeed in corporate supply chains.

The first of 2019’s Breakfast with Brands series kicks off April 3rd as The Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) brings together certified women-owned businesses and buyers from WBE Canada Corporate Member organizations in the financial sector. This event will address the needs of emerging and established business owners and offer an opportunity for exceptional networking, learning and professional development.

Join us for Breakfast with Brands: Financial Industry in Toronto on April 3, 2019 at 8:30am to 12pm as we aim to facilitate connections and conversations between women-owned businesses and corporate/government buyers.

Wealth Planning for Women Entrepreneurs 

Presented by: Abby Kassar, Vice President, High Net Worth Planning Services, RBC  

Women entrepreneurs are not only increasingly generating and managing wealth but they are taking a greater role in making financial decision and are becoming the primary household decision maker.  This presentation will highlight important financial considerations every woman entrepreneur should be aware of including retirement planning alternatives, estate planning essentials and contingent planning solutions.

This year’s event is open exclusively to WBE Canada Certified women-owned businesses. Our Corporate Members are bringing 2-4 buyers each to this closed-door event to grow supplier diversity awareness across the organization and encourage introductions and connections between buyers and certified WBEs.

About Abby Kassar

Abby Kassar RBCAbby specializes in tax and estate planning for high-net-worth and ultra high-net-worth families. Her guidance supports clients in their relationships with their external professional advisors, with whom she frequently interacts. Prior to joining High Net Worth Planning Services, Abby provided tax, retirement, estate and financial planning advice to RBC advisors and their clients. She has written articles on various topics including charitable donations, executive compensation, tax planning and retirement planning. Prior to joining RBC, Abby worked in a medium sized accounting firm assisting business executives and high net worth clients with their tax planning and estate planning. She worked closely with owner-manager shareholders to assess and recommend the best tax planning strategies, the best corporate structure and the most suitable succession plan.

Abby is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor in Economics and Commerce from the University of Toronto. She completed the In-Depth tax courses I and II and the Canadian Securities Course. She is also a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has obtained the STEP Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising. Abby is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
